The 4 day desert tour Marrakech to Fes starts from the city of Marrakech in the morning exactly from your accommodation, direction to Dades gorges. On the way we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka pass, opening our way among numerous Berber nomadic peoples that inhabit the area. We will continue via Ouarzazate crossing the valley of Roses, to enter the gorges of Dades, where the so-called "route of the thousand kasbahs" begins. The activity that we will perform on this second day just after breakfast, will be the discovery of the incredible rock formation history Next, we will take the road to Erfoud, a place known nationally for the best dates and then Rissani where we will have lunch.
Finally, we will arrive at the dunes of Merzouga Desert, find the camels in our wait and enjoy a cup of mint tea before staying at the hotel or riad.
After breakfast we will discover the Merzouga area. First, we will visit the village of Gnawa, the seasonal lake of Merzouga with its flamingos and some houses that have a lot of crafts.
In the afternoon we will ride the camels and will be accompanied by an experienced camel ride to explore the mysterious sand-sea of Erg Chebbi for 2 to 3 hours. The accommodation will take place in a traditional tent where dinner will be served.
The last day of our 4 Day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes before sunrise, we will get up early to attend your departure. Afterwards, we will return to our riad appreciating the beauty of the Erg Chebbi dunes. After having a good breakfast at the house of local guests we will travel to Fes, passing through Errachidia, Tizi Ntlaghmat and Midelt.
Then, we will make a stop in Zaida to enjoy a barbecue and a glass of mint tea. We will continue to Azrou where we will stop to see the monkeys, we will also pass through Ifrane and finally we will arrive to Fes where the 4 day desert tour will end.
1. Do I need to bring a sleeping bag?
You won't need a sleeping bag on our Morocco tours as for the most part you'll be staying in 3-4 star hotels and our desert camp provides all the bedding you need including pillows and blankets. For your own personal comfort, you may wish to bring a sleeping bag liner to use at the desert camp.
2. How long is the camel trek in the Sahara?
We journey there by camel for an authentic Berber experience. The camel trek is about an hour and a half. If you prefer to walk then you can walk alongside our camel caravan but bear in mind that walking in sand can be tiring.
3. Is there another option if I do not want camel riding?
Yes, travellers who are not intrested in camel ride and want to spend night in the desert, we transfer them by 4WD to the desert camp.
4. What is the standard of hotels on your trips?
