After we met at the place where we had agreed upon. we will star our 4 days tour from Casablanca via Rabat, we will visit the Old Kasbah of Udayas and Hassan Tower, Meknes, another important imperial city in Morocco. We will also visit the famous gate Bab El Mansour, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum and the Sahrij Souani, then we continue to Fez. Overnight in a Hotel or Riad.
After breakfast, we will drive to Ifrane “the Moroccan Switzerland” and Azrou passing the Middle Atlas Mountains “Tizi n t’lghamt pass”. During our trip, we will stop in lot of area to take pictures, and have lunch in Midelt , then we continue our tour through Ziz valley, city of Errachidia, Erfoud, and after we reach the heart of Moroccan Sahara Desert Merzouga, you will have some rest then ride your camels and trekking to the deep desert. During our camel trekking we will catch the sunset between sands dunes. A delicious dinner in Sahara Desert camp and we will enjoy this night in desert tents with Berber drums music under the clear sky and stars.
Early morning, your camel guide will wake you up to watch what will may be the best sunrise of your life. After sunrise and breakfast, you will trek back to the hotel in Merzouga where you will find your driver. Continuing the 4 days desert tour from Casablanca, you’ll leave to Rissani, we will visit the Markt in Rissani , a traditional town which was the origin of the ruling family in Morocco and the meeting place of the Caravans trading as far as Timbuctou in Mali. Here you will see a lot of men hooded and women veiled, continuing to Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the heart of the gorge we’ll drive through the Dades Valley, where you’ll see the majestic sand castles and the amazing rock formations known as “monkey toes”. Overnight accommodation will be in a fancy hotel overlooking the Dades valley.
After having breakfast in the hotel, the day will start by visiting the beautiful rock formations of dades gorges. then drive along valley of roses to reach Kalaa M’gouna, and skoura, arriving to Oarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa and stop in the atlas film studios. then to the UNESCO world heritage site called “Kasbah Ait Benhaddou” classified since 1986. Ait Benhaddou Kasbah is one of many locations served as a natural decoration for many movies such as “Alexender, Gladiator, Babel…’’ and have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we will drive to the red city of Marrakech passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Arrival to Marrakech and Drop off at your accommodation. 1. Do I need to bring a sleeping bag?
You won't need a sleeping bag on our Morocco tours as for the most part you'll be staying in 3-4 star hotels and our desert camp provides all the bedding you need including pillows and blankets. For your own personal comfort, you may wish to bring a sleeping bag liner to use at the desert camp.
2. How long is the camel trek in the Sahara?
We journey there by camel for an authentic Berber experience. The camel trek is about an hour and a half. If you prefer to walk then you can walk alongside our camel caravan but bear in mind that walking in sand can be tiring.
3. Is there another option if I do not want camel riding?
Yes, travellers who are not intrested in camel ride and want to spend night in the desert, we transfer them by 4WD to the desert camp.
4. What is the standard of hotels on your trips?
On our Signature product you'll be staying in a mix of 4 & 3 star modern hotels and traditional Moroccan riads. This gives you a chance to experience the local hospitality and stay in accommodation that reflects the character of Morocco. 5. Is Moroccan food suitable for vegetarians?
Vegetables feature prominently in Moroccan cuisine so vegetarians should have no issues. It's true that Moroccans like their meat but it's always accompanied by a delicious range of vegetables and grains. There's a huge variety of salads to choose from, soups can easily be made vegetarian-friendly on request and the ubiquitous tagine and couscous dishes come in vegetarian options too.
